Taking Inventory

Years ago, I read a blog entry from cocktail author Jeffrey Morgenthaler, in which he posted the contents of his home bar, and I thought it was a great to emulate.  I feel that peeking into other people's liquor cabinets, whether in person - or in the virtual sense - is a bit of voyeuristic fun, and occasionally, you may find a few items you may have overlooked in your bar, and may want to add to your collection.

I have quite a few years behind me in the world of mixology.  Everything from fine spirit tastings and education, a two-year stint mixing drinks at an upscale Italian bistro, and now, cocktail creation for clients and friends. You may want to keep that in mind as you read the list, as some of the botles in my collection were purchased with a specific project in mind, and are not used everyday.

You may even notice a few items that may be unfamiliar to you, like Shochu (an Asian spirit usually derived from rice,) and ROn Miel (a rum from the Canary Islands made from palm honey) - so if you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.
